California raised the smoking age from 18 to 21. The lounges slowed down.
COVID destroyed the restaurant industry.
Amazon eventually pulled my contract - officially for declining peak-season routes, but our internal emails told a different story.
At the same time, I went through a divorce and got injured while training in the L.A. County Sheriff's Academy. I wanted that job because I craved stability and benefits for my daughter.
Everything I'd built collapsed at once.
So I went back to what I've always done best. BUILDING.
